Desert Spells - Defilers & Templars
D = Defiler only, T = Templar only, I - Ishtarian
Spells available to Defilers and Templars. Creation spells do not work in the deep desert.
No spells affect the Sea of Dust sand although winds and motes can manipulate.
Note that Defilers and Templars possess Anti-magic Suppression which can suppress a psionic anti-magic field.0-Level Desert Spells

- Blast of Sand: Sand strips flesh at d6/lvl (max 10d6). Reflex half. No SR.
- Desert Diversion: Diverts travel powers to a random wasteland location in the desert.

- Scaring Exposure: Target Suffers hours of wasteland exposure in moments. See Desert Book.
- Skin of the Cactus: Grows natural armour, thorns and resistence to dehydration. See Desert Book.
- Wither: Deals 1d6 dessication damage/lvl and dehydrates. See Desert Book.

Adds -5 to next save vs death to one target creature
- Namesake:
Protects True Name from divination.
- Air Walk:
Subject treads on air as if solid (climb at 45-degree angle).
- Cure
Critical Wounds:
Cures 4d8 damage +1/level (max +20).
- Death
Ward:
Grants immunity to death spells and negative energy effects.
- Dimensional Anchor:
Bars extradimensional movement.
- Discern
Lies:
Reveals deliberate falsehoods.
- Dismissal:
Forces a creature to return to native plane.
- Divination

Provides useful advice for specific proposed actions.

Power:
You gain attack bonus, +6 to Str, and 1 hp/level.

of Movement:
Subject moves normally despite impediments.
- Giant
Vermin:
Turns centipedes, scorpions, or spiders into giant vermin.
- Imbue with Spell
Ability: Transfer spells to subject.

Wounds: Touch
attack, 4d8 damage +1/level (max +20).

Poison:
Immunizes subject against poison,
detoxifies venom in or on subject.

Exchange services with a 6 HD extraplanar creature.

Vermin:
Insects, spiders, and other vermin stay 10 ft. away.
- Restoration
M:
Restores level and ability score drains.
- Sending:
Delivers short message anywhere, instantly.

Immunity:
Subject is immune to one spell per four levels.

Calls extraplanar creature to fight for you.

- Ashen Union: One creature takes d6/2 lvl (max 10d6). Fort for half, if take half hp, make another Fort or die, dehydrated

- Mephit Mob: Summons 2d6 of mephits of type you designate. See Desert Book.

- Sandstorm: Causes winds which causes dustorm. Not controlled by caster. See Desert Book.

Barrier:
Wall of blades deals 1d6/level damage.

Strength, Mass: As bull’s strength,
affects one subject/level.

Wounds, Mass: Cures 2d8 damage +1/level for
many creatures.
- Dispel Magic, Greater:
As dispel
magic, but up to +20 on check.
- Eagle’s
Splendor, Mass: As eagle’s
splendor, affects one subject/level.

Shows most direct way to a location.
- Forbiddance

Blocks planar travel, damages creatures of different alignment.
- Geas/Quest:
As lesser
geas, plus it affects any creature.
- Glyph
of Warding,
Greater: As glyph of warding,
but up to 10d8 damage or 6th-level spell.
- Harm:
Deals 10 points/level damage to target.
- Heal:
Cures 10 points/level of damage, all diseases
and mental conditions.

- Regenerate:
Subject’s severed limbs grow back, cures 4d8 damage +1/level
(max +35).

Creatures can’t approach you.
