Thistle, Mandrake's Familiar

Description: From a species captured by Steven Amber in a different, unknown, dimension, Thistle is a metallic skinned, winged Sea Horse. Through a gift of Genin, Thistle comes from his homeworld, a land of creativity and cooperative illusions, where his evolution was both technological and magical, but he is also fully from the dimension of Harn. Thistle is very proud of his ability for both Air Breathing & Water Breathing (nonmagical)--rare but not unheard of for his race (water breathing is the default). He often calls swimming flying and vice versa, as water is the home element for his race; he will tell you he is a great "swimmer." Thistle has small arms and wings like a pseudo dragon. As a gift of Genin, Thistle is a 3rd lvl illusionist and may grow in power.  Mandrake is his familiar.

He has the following powers: (at 7th lvl)
1. Create Major Image at Will                
2. Improved Invisibilty at will
3. Detect Illusion (Constant)                                         
4. Empathy (non-magical)
5. Can enhance any illusions cast by another  illusionist within 60ft by (one of the following):
      adding one sense component to an illusion (smell, visual, audial, touch, movement, ect)
      add background to any illusion                                  increase AOEx2
      adds quality, etc to any illusion (+50%)
6. Make Real once per day any 1 sense illusion cast by another illusionist (permanent duration)
7. Enhanced Displacement. Automatic, can only do once per hour -  100% miss chance for 1 attack

Thistle is Mandrake's Familiar and as a sorcerer, Thistle also gains a familiar -which is Mandrake. As familiar, gains:
Improved Evasion (save for 1/2 or none)
Empathic Link - telepathic link, see out of each other's eyes
Speak With Master - may speak verbally with master
Touch - can deliver touch attack spells for sorcerer
Share Spells - spells cast by sorcerer on self can also affect familiar

Genin Fateshaper's Gift

The Dimension of Harn is treated as his home dimension while he is a guest of Mandrake. Thistle can learn magic (as sorcerer with five magics) and Mandrake is Thistle's familiar.

Thistle gains dragonsense (blindsight) out to 30ft from his familar (Mandrake), empathic link, speak with master, and his familiar (mandrake) can  deliver his touch spells,  and spells he casts are shared with Mandrake.

Gift of Loresraat (permanized spell, xp paid by Mandrake)- Familiar link extended to 30ft from Mandrake for share spells and ongoing spells return if reenter area so long as they were cast when share spells was functioning.

Staff of firepower (combined staff of power and staff of fire) - staff is reduced to his size (permanent)

The staff of power is a very potent magic item, with offensive and defensive abilities. It is usually topped with a glistening gem, its shaft straight and smooth. It has the following powers:

The wielder of a staff of power gains a +2 luck bonus to AC and saving throws. The staff is also a +2 quarterstaff, and its wielder may use it to smite opponents. If 1 charge is expended (as a free action), the staff causes double damage (×3 on a critical hit) for 1 round.
