You create a barrier that completely blocks extradimensional travel except back and forth to one specified location. Unlike Dimensional Lock, the barrier is unseen and invisible. All forms of movement are barred including astral projection, blink, dimension door, ethereal jaunt, etherealness, gate, maze, plane shift, shadow walk, teleport, and similar spell-like or psionic abilities. Once this spell is cast, the area becomes sealed and extradimensional travel into or out of the area is not possible. If a caster casts Dimensional Interlock in another location while the duration of this spell is going, then the two areas become interlinked and allow back and forth travel between them and inhibits travel to and from other locations.  The second casting of Dimensional Interlock may be on another plane but this spell does not create any sort of actual gateway. Creatures in either area still need the requisite form of travel to get them from point A to point B and must indeed know the other location.

A dimensional lock does not interfere with the movement of creatures already in ethereal or astral form when the spell is cast, nor does it block extradimensional perception or attack forms. Also, the spell does not prevent summoned creatures from disappearing at the end of a summoning spell but it does prevent the summoning of new ones.
