Trigol, on the Jot river, is a city dedicated to Girru, one of the two gods of fire. Farmlands surround the city on three sides, a river on the fourth. Trigol has walls nearly thirty feet high which are laden with turrets, mounted balistae, catapults, arrow slits, and huge burning pyres. At night the pyres can be seen burning from thirty miles away. The three sets of gates are comprised of a twenty foot high tunnel with three massive iron portcullis. The entire length of the way there are numerous murder holes from which burning Girru's Oil can be poured. The city is made dirty by soot from ever burning coal forges and a huge overpopulation. All manner of folk are concentrated together -nobles, priests, workers, slaves, tradesmen, merchants, and travelers. The city is not divided into districts and the streets form an erratic maze. Noble houses are intermixed near peasant and slave hovels and block long merchant houses. The only buildings of unique stature are the Churches of Girru (many) and the Keep of Keogum. The many churches and temples all serve different functions - some are forging weaponsmithing churches while others hold weapons stores and the churches own military guard (L.N. Paladins of Girru and their soldiery). temples exist for common worship and the creation of Girru's Oil and flintstone.

Keogum's Keep is a tallsquarish brick building with a small wall and large iron fence about it. It has only a few windows which are very high up and barred. Its is dark with a film of black soot.

The entire city exports is based off of the churches abilities and it is the church that gains the profits and thus the church that holds the pursestrings in the city. hence, the nobles are secondary to the cities function. Not much respect is given to them and in turn they put little effort into taking care of the city. This combined with the fact that there are no weopons laws in any part of the city due to the nature of the trade, leads to a high level of very dangerous lawlessness. The clerics however, and their small, elite military force do try and quell what they see. The clerics are shown great respect at every turn. The blacksmiths are revered and the Weoponsmiths are venerated. For good reason too - Trigolease weponsmiths are as deadly as clerics come. Allowed to use any weopon made of steel, always magical, they are dangerous.

Thus it has become a haven for thieves and the center of a large thieves guild, the Trigolease Guild. The Guild is somewhat tolerated by folks because its leader, Nigbarru, despises the Scarlet Brotherhood and tries to stamp them out any chance he gets. There is, however, still a pressence of the Red Hand. The Guild deals mostly in pilfered flintstone, Girru's oil, and some weopons as well as heavy drugs - illicit herbal preps that increase energy and strength but is highly addictive (called Shan, its a white to dirty brown powder). To make contact with the guild, ask for Garick Scatch at any appropriate place. As much as there is lawlessness, prostitution, gambling and other vices are not tolerated. Prostitutes are equated with adulterers and both will be hanged. Bastard children are subject to infanticide. They family unit is heavily enforced. Marriages are done by the church before procreation is allowed (unwed pregnant mothers and their children become property of the church). Non humans are not tolerated.

There is entertainment. Spices and good foods are brought from all over. Gleemen and minstrels play for the rich townsfolk. Choirs from the Theocracy will make tours through Trigol's churches often. Trigol also makes a hefty stout beer which packs a punch. Also, duels to settle disputes are common in Trigol.

Garul Corrum-Likuth's father was from the city of Corrum. A city dedicated to Kothar-wa-Hasis. His mother was from Likuth, dedicated to a god of metal. Durring the Great Wars, these two cities fought and destroyed eachother. Garull played a large role in fermenting the war and he fought on both sides. He also helped defend Trigol durring the great wars. With the destruction of both cities, Trigol inherited a greater portion of the weopons market, metal mines and Garull gained a great deal of favour from Trigol. Since then he has become an Archmage and started his own school of sorcery. The Trigolease do not interfere in his dealings much at all. Although there is no law against open practice of magic, the Corrum-Likuth do not let others do so at all. They will kill any other mages they see practicing in Trigol.
