These deadly creatures are native to the Sea of Dust and have become highly evolved. Unlike their native cousins, these Dune Stalkers possess psionics and work in groups. Their touch causes damage through dehydration. and they have a terrible sonic attack.
It is natural form a Deset Dune Stalker is tall and slender - about 6½ feet tall and weighs about 150 pounds.
A Dune Stalker will hide under the sand and await prey to travel over them. In this state they have a +40 to hide. When attacking in thsi fashion, they will surprise their opponent. The Dune Stalker strikes with two powerful claws, the touch of which drains water from the body. If those succeed in hitting the dune stalker may grapple opponent to pull them closer for the kiss of death. Even if the kiss fails, strength is drained. If character takes more than half their hit points in damage from a Desert Dune Stalker, they are Dehydrated.
Dune Stalkers communicate with each other psionically and are
avid hunters. They hunt in packs, looking for the largest sources of
hydration to feed upon. Their sensitivity to psychic impressions allows
them to track as if the desert was wet ground. They are a
predator to many things in the desert.
