Ser Ineluke (Mirin), Chancellor of Love (Whore of Babylon)

Ser Ineluke is a half-elven woman who began her life as a prostitute before the Dark Times. She 'work'ed for a mage and learned magic from him in Greyhawk City. Eventually she met the Champions of Sophora early in their travels. She was married to Oreon Theristal for a time but eventually was captured by Romag and used to manipulate Jim during his crazed period with the Goldenskull. She is reputed to have been Stilleto Jim's lover and concubine for a time. For a time she came under the influence of the evil Romag and still has mental scars and personality problems due to it, learning that the memories of childhood - and even as prostitute to that first mage was someone elses memories - romag had found another soul and placed it in the body of the woman who WAS the real Ser Ineluke (dead and spirit long gone, her original self was named Mirin before the soul was transfered). The news caused her to have a split personality for a time which made her more easily manipulated by Romag. She has always and will always fear him and she has retired from adventuring in great part to the various effects he has had on her life (manipulation of Jim, how he hurt Rahasia). When Oreon became neutral and began to work for the Dark One (which she believes happened in part because of Romag and the Goldenskull) she couldnt take the thought of ever having to face him. When the Swords of Power were collected by the Champions, she came to wield Farslayer, the Sword of Vengence. Even with her hatred of Romag, she could never bring herself to throw the weapon against him. She still retains its swordsight power to detect traps, snares, pits, and poisons and has found that Farslayers modifying effects on Curse spells still remains in effect on her. She was instrumental at the final battle at Tovag Baragu, detected many traps set by the Dark One, and used Far slayer to occupy one of the 3 floating immunities possessed by the Dark One.  She has permenently retired from adventuring and runs the Brothels in Babylon. She is chief prostitute and holds the title of Chancellor of Love within th Ishtarian Church. Originally she started as a fifth magic sorcerer, but divine influences has shaped her magic to being that of a sex-based sorcerer. She trained and helped create the Istaritu and the divine prostitutes.

Combat

Ser usually avoids direct combat using her cube of force to provide protection, and her dimension door spell to retreat. She has two scrolls of reverse plane close if the area is protected. If forced into combat with one foe she will often do an Alurring Disrobe, giving a +2 DC on her seduction and charm spells. She will follow that with a seduction spell. iF successful she will have them disrobe or greater disrobe and then take the target creature in her arms and, as a move related action touch her rod of beguling and use the Kiss of Tranference to beguile them.  If seduction fails, she will have sex with the target using sexual casting to cast Block the Seed and multiple castings of Cursed Orgasm, finally Commanding them to orgasm when she believes it will kill them.

Fear (Su) - This spel like ability was given as a gift by a mage client.

When angry, Ser emits a fear aura. DC 20 Will save or be affected as though by fear (caster level 9th). Adds +4 competence bonus to intimidate.

Whether or not the save is successful, that creature cannot be affected by Ser's fear ability for 24 hours. The save DC is Charisma-based.

Permanent Side Effects of Swords of Power

Epic Curse (Cast 10 levels higher, DC 40) 1/day but only with justification (if she has been wronged). Only effective against those who have personally wronged Ser (or her prostitutes or lovers). Curse gains the transference property similar to the Dark One's, ie. the person who removed the curse now suffers its effects (transference).

At will—Sword Sight: May detect traps, snares, pits, and poisons even if atral, ethereal or cloaked. Can see any way that a target creature has wronged her personally (includes harming her prostitutes) This sight is of Epic/Artifact Nature and may pierce protective spells such as mind blank of up to and including 9th level but not Epic).

Information

Personal: Romag affectionately calls Ser Mirin. If I were a wizard, I would be able to…Senshak got his ass kicked by Trax, wanted to rape and kill Ser. Romag stabbed her master in the back, decided to send Ser to the node, allowed her to keep spellbook. Why did Romag kill my master, yet let me live? How are we connected? He told me if I could get him a blue gem and bring it to him, he would free me (related to the skull). He used me like a pawn.

Dark One: Gandalf tells them King Gilgamen wore the eye of Vecna. Vecna killed him. One of the seals is broken for sure. We have one seal. The power of the seals has been waning. Gandalf and Romag both mentioned the God of the Spidered Throne. Tovag Baragu is a Stonehenge structure in the Sea of Dust. A considerable sized cult that worships the Spidered Throne (they call her the Great Lord of the dark). The Balkuni and the Selouese used pattern magic. It could alter reality since it uses the magic used to weave the pattern. The hand and the eye of the Spidered Throne use pattern magic. Mogeddian’s star marks 5 months and 5 days after Mogeddian’s (the Spider) leaves, secret plans (entrapment), her daughter symbolizes the springing of the trap. The door of Tovag Baragu will probably open on that day.

 

Wizards of Chaos:  party met in Hookhill. Thornward was decimated by a Wizard of Chaos. Toxutat made a magic item before “breaking of the world,” used to pierce into realms of concordant opposition. Maldev, a keep on the ethereal plane, surrounded by yellow mist with floating land islands, where Taran learned of Wizards of Chaos. Each Wizard has a different demon-lord as a patron after conversion into cult. They can throw green fire out of their staves and they share hit points. Destroyed the Law of Aeleax (if a worshiper changes his/her religion, the god sends down an aeleax by the gods, began the holy wars by hordes of conversion invasions. Attempting to destroy fundamental laws of the universe; this is how they managed to pierce into the concordant realms. They changed the fundamentals of magic so that evil can now band together. Since then magic comes more easily, no need to memorize, remember all with one quick glance. Oct. 21st, Wizards of Chaos are gone; 101 are roaming about.

 

The Dragonscale Tome: This text is written in ancient Aerdian about things even more ancient. The paper is blue dragon hide, authored by Tamonas of Jalpa by writ of the Malachite Throne. It’s about the prominent artifacts of Oerth: Throne of the Gods, Hand and Eye, Babayaga’s Hut, Mace of St. Cuthbert, Teeth of Dalvenar, Wand of Orcas. The Hand and the Eye have made their appearances over the centuries. People who lived in the Payniams, through ruler was supposedly captured by a cult of worshippers of the hand and the eye who stuck the eye in his head. He ruled them horribly for a long time until taken out by a Balkuni witch. The Hand is linked to the Legend of Vecna II. At a city called Tyrus (probably by the Pomarj Coast), he reigned. The hand resurfaced later on a guy named Darkanian. He was preaching in some mountains that he would destroy the world. A bunch of devils took him down to hell with the hand. The Mace of St. Cuthbert was lost by St. Cuthbert in a battle with the old one. It was dropped in the Nyr Dyv. Later, it resurfaced in the service of the Great Kingdom. It was taken into the Great Kingdom and wielded by the Great Knight of the House for generations until that house broke and realigned with Nyrond. Eventally the mace was traded to the Iron League (society of nations).

Ser’s Timeline:

Feb. 4: Ser learns Jim has 12 disciples. In Neole Dra, Ser hired an assassin to kill one of the disciples who was consulting books on legends on Ancient Terrors. There’s one disciple in Shibolith, one in Hochoch making deals with the Dim Forest to get orcs and goblins into a nonhumanoid mercenary army. They’re hired to go north to the Yatill Mountains, making going to Lake Quag. Two disciples passed through Hookhill and went to the north. I now believe Jim is on the way to Lake Quag. We’ve moved to Orion’s Mansion. I learned how to use his mirror of travel. The party bumped into me at Lord Kron’s where I was having an affair.

 

May 15: Walking underwater now, with amulet to get the sword. It was strangely easy to memorize spells. Sea Hag poisons me and we lose the shark amulet to her, but we get Taran’s sword. Race to save my life across some town. Find a druid 3 hrs. later in Tringle who saves me. We chill in Orion’s mansion. I begin his conversion and then we begin to snag the disciple in Neole Dra, capital of Keoland, used to skirmish Furyundy over territory. We mirrored over and now I have to go work on the disciple, flirt with him, get information. Write in a gnomish, elvish, and hobbit code, putting successive key words in each language to keep message secret.

 

May 17: Step through mirror, turn corner. Finerio get his with magic missile. I went invisible and stepped into the Green Griffin, a pub. There was a lone rider shooting magic missiles and he had a spell of deflection so that anything shot at him hit the person shooting instead. Finerio goes to save a man shot with a crossbow and pulls the arrow out, picks up the disemboweled body and runs to the Green Griffin clamoring for an herbalist and then chats with him about what’s going on. I wander off toward the kitchens now that I’m visible again. Finerio slipped and said we while talking to the man, so I kicked him and this broke the invisibility. I went to find maids or someone to tell me where the disciple is. A young maid tells me she will send the owner up after he’s done getting a new keg from the basement. I go find Finerio who has learned of a war between Keoland and Furyundy. The owner, an uncouth peasant, with the only library other than the Royal Library. The herbalist takes me out on a date to the most expensive inn in town, and Finerio is forced to put down 20gp just to sit at another table and drink and keep an eye on me. After the meal (80gp), he escorts us to Lord Darran’s house. Basically the trip is fruitless, but some funny things. Lord Darran has several great books: History of Keoland 459 AD, On the Valley of the Mage (Imagen), The Small War (Philadore Darren), The Five Blades: Torture mechanics of the Ravenloft Family, Practices of the Occult: Devil Worship and Precepts of Satanism (Tholain Ned), The Beasts of Humanity: Oddities and Anomalies of the Human Anatomy, The Horrol Shastry: Epic of Spiritual Encounters. I didn’t want to ask Finerio to lend me more gps to use the book room, so I seduced the old geezer. While in the act, he made so much noise that he woke his wife, who barreled in angry and screaming. We were both naked, so I had to ensorcel her into thinking I was her most envied female contemporary, smacked her across the face, and said, “Well, if you can’t please him someone should.” Clutching my clothes, I went downstairs and dressed. From upstairs I hear weeping I know she’s prettier and richer than me, but I love you. He sends her to bed and comes downstairs to thank me. Finerio and I stay downstairs.

 

May 18: Darran invites us to breakfast with his wife. She looks visibly upset so after eating I followed her into the kitchen, pretended to be compassionate, then crushed her feelings. Fenario and I go to the books room. Two books were interesting, Satanism and the Valley of the Mage, which Jim originally came from, but we didn’t have time to read them before the mirror closed.

            We step through the mirror to where Lake Quag meets the river to the south. We step out onto the right bank of the developing river. My crow sees a boat approaching with 8 sailors and a captain. It’s 35 ft. long and 15 ft. wide. Sailors are dressed in red and black striped shirts. With audible glammer I make 32 men call out and the gypsy ship coming up from the south heads toward us. Finerio and wolf, Taran, Gorkin, and Gambling. We go back to the ship with the captain and sail to the river city. We go to a wealthy inn. I start fucking with cantrips so I forget I didn’t have enough to eat. Star of Canaan comes out on the 1st, only seen once in 30 yrs. But it’s really bright-orange, signifying entrapment. That evening we go to dinner with a lord ranger and find some stuff out. I go to the bathroom to find a maid or something. I come back, flirt a little, show some cleavage, and then sit down to attend the conversation. We find out that Jim is probably in the Mounts of Dawn. We go to Zeif’s House a faux pas to ask. I dream we’re walking through a maze of Stonehenge like sculptures like I’m lost or solving a puzzle. Orion and I are in bed together and the next morning we board our ship. The lord ranger signed a pact with us and the southern states and gave us a warship to get to the mountains of dawn, but it’s too slow so we take the gypsy ship instead.

 

May 19: This is Teram Verostak’s ship. We find out from the gypsies that the strongest leader of the wolf nomads will close a pact the very next day with anyone if he sees a one-eared wolf. While sailing, I’m sick, and Rahasia heals me.

 

May 25: We get to the Mounts of Dawn and Captain Verostak drops us off and sails back out to sea. There are no people, surveyed the coast.

 

May 26: We survey the coast and sail up it a little farther. We get off 2 miles before a settled beach of boats and circumvent it because it seems to be protected by rock giants. Fought a battle with Jim’s people.

 

May 27th: We’ve successfully entered the mountain. We flew everyone in on the fly and invisibility and seen and mask to fly past the fornicating orcs, head bouncing giant, pillar room.

 

June 3: The party rescued Jim in the Yatolls. In Hookhill, Jim is cured, and we train. The Celadon Forest houses the university to train bards.

 

August 15: The skull is destroyed, but Orion has been turned by Zeutmoy. The party meets with Gandalf and Zepplin. Zepplin tells us a net has been connected between this plane and the outer planes. This net inhibits prayers going to the gods. If you carry a sword of power, it’s like an antennae that transmits through the net. The gods were powerless to stop the net, but did make the swords.

 

September 2: Departed in the morning toward Hochoch through Shibolith. Ran into lots of reguees. We danced, played, and hooked and gambled for two nights. At the gates of Shibolith, there is a riot about the toll at the gate.

 

September 6: We left Shibolith in the morning a good deal wealthier than we arrived. Going west, we get attacked by four armored bandits. We overcame them. They follow when they wake up and surprise us at our camp. We kill them. Ser cuts their balls off and adds them to a weapon sacrifice to Ishtar.

            At night, Jim is awakened by a bird squacking. Jim’s playing draws out a woman named Markesha. I ought to see if it’s boonful or baneful to trust her. The answer is mixed, could be either. She asks Jim to gamble. If he can remain awake with her one night in bed, he will get great things, if not, he’s fucked. I tried to use the wand of paralysis on her, but she got her save and told me to go away. Then I went and got the wand of fire and waited for a chance to blow her away, but Jim was always too close. Jim and Markesha had sex, and he managed to stay awake. She then tried to bring him to another plane to make the night last longer. She called in three more creatures from the plane so I barged in and laid a curse on those three things, but Markesha made her save, so I begged Jim to get out of the way so I could blast her. She finally left and I shot her with fire, but she was immune.

 

September 7: We begin again towards Hochoch. We are attacked by spiders and caught in their web. I use sorcery to appear as fire or this unearthly fire-ape. Eleven of the 13 spiders run away. Jim shoots two of them and sets us free. Jim, unfortunately was poisoned and loses strength. We get accosted by Dark Elves, but they heal Jim and ask about his army. There’s a fight with weird swords. Then we camp with them at night, but Markesha rides my soul in my dreams. I buck her before I wake, but I lose a point of Constitution. I sleep ok during the day.

 

September 9: We make it to Hochoch and get in by the name of Psylocke. We got to the Tavern of the Holy Priestess, and I participated sexually in a wizard’s war recruitment performance. We made a lot of money. The wizard offers to help me against Markesha, but she interrupts and fucks Jim again. Then she gates us to the Hold of the Sea Princes and leaves as the day starts.

            In the night sky, I see that all the signs are in their opposing houses or entering their opposing houses. They face doom in a month.

 

September 10: Arrived Hokar in the Hold of the Sea Princes at dawn. Go to Adri BenSorsha’s keep (a shield of the Sea Prince) and charmed the guards using the sorcery of illusions. The Waveking is the flagship of BenSorsha’s fleet. Go to the Dragon’s Sail to get information and get a room there. Lord Tenland (thieve’s guild), the Salvage Guild, and the Sea Prince BenSorsha have books. The Golden Bell is another nice inn here. Aipec left this morning with refugees, but the Waveking is still in harbor escorting Spifshkeva out for tonight. Ice Leopard should come in tonight. All papers and belongings are checked by guards in the militia. After doing research and buying some books, Ser meets up with Jim at Shostem’s (a classy piano bar across from the Dragon’s Sail). Jim sings along, and we meet Galeed the local drunkard (something about Flandis and Khem?). We hide our stuff in the room and go to meet Markesha. By incredible luck we bump into Mysteria in a brothel in East Town (Mama Rashenka’s). Mysteria is my information network representative, and she gives us information and asks us to tell Kron thanks for her.   Jim meets a guy wearing Zepplin’s badge (Bigelow). Then we go to the wharf and see ships: orcish Voivod, Waveking, Goat of Good, Periatin, Rain Cobra. We meet Markesha who parties with Jim and charms a guard to serve as Ser’s escort. She gives Ser information about a raid on Shostem’s at 1pm.

 

September 11: We go to Shostem’s to sell them information about the raid. The crown jewels of Keoland have been stolen, and no one leaves port without a note signed by a Sea Prince. Rumor has it that the Sea Prince Kaleed bet Coinspinner in a game that the Sea Prince’s fleet would take all of the Azure Sea, which would mean they had to beat Borkin’s fleet. Borkin is from the U of I (Ultimate of Illusions). Kaleed got a royal flush. Now we find that Galeed has been arrested by the Sea Princes and a Constable of Keoland in conjunction with the theft. We make 8000 gp dancing at the Dragon’s Sail.

 

September 12: We go to the Salvage Guild and Mama Rashenka’s. Newton Pew meets with us at the Salvage Guild. He tells us of the Oracle of Ulek who is predicting a new age after Ragnarok and teaching how to make peace with the new order (a little more negative). Newton tells us of a “Lost and Found” (thieve’s cant) concerning the sword and the papers. The Salvage Guild knows nothing about the exact information concerning the sword. Militia men of Adri BenSorsha are lost too. BenSorsha’s been talking politics with the Scarlet Brotherhood, but they’re all pretty lost. We should talk to Brass at the Dragon’s Sail. To send word to Newton, send him an apple. Bite it if we need information.

 

September 13: Jim and I have bad dreams about our alignment shift toward good. We find through gossip that there have been lots of marriages, lots of alignment shifts, lots of conversions among religions. We hear Finerio’s Bill of Rights being cried by the town criers. From the herbalist, we hear of the Solarian, a hero that once was gone forever and shall come again. Those who are faithful shall be brought to heaven; those who have been unfaithful shall perish. The sign is he of the golden eyes. He shall ascend one day and is associated with the Technicolor unicorn. Then we meet Bigelow and hook him up with Markesha. Tell Mirin the Olman Islands. We meet Erve Sakistan from West Keep, who tried to ensorsele Jim but failed. He gave me the signature spell. Then we went to the shipyard to scope out getting on the Ice Leopard. It’s heavily guarded. Jim goes to ask Shostem for some passes. Shostem won’t deal until Jim brings him Mirin. He professes his love for Mirin. He’d been in love with her when he was running guns for Furyundy, but she started hanging out with Romag and went bad. It was an emotional meeting. He was very kind and gave us the passes because I told him I am Ser and I just want to be free. Then, we went to Lord Tenland, and Jim met with him. Finally we make it to the boat, headed for Prymp in the Great Kingdom.

 

September 14: We perform on board, and people like us. The captain shuts us down. Captain Ren Williky (female) is the half-orc captain of the ship. Tride is the first mate, and there’s a crew of 7. Others on board include Frisbee (male), a reticent, serene, kind, older man in a wizard’s robe. He philosophizes and can summon demons. Feltcap (male) is a loner, often reading a book. Softshoe (male) is very shy, young, 20s. Buford (male) is a bully, loud, combative, arms merchant, but nice in his own way (no alignment). Erasmus (male) is an old man, fleeing Keoland. Melody (female) is a young singer, late teens, very beautiful. Parin (male) is Erasmus’s son, Melody’s brother, fleeing Keoland. Popot (male) is a wise man from the Hold of the Sea Princes, going back to the Great Kingdom. Medrian Parlan (female) is an intelligent/shrewd merchant with a soft spot for information. She likes Jim because he’s obviously a valley elf. She uses traps and wards. Dar (female) is a rune priest of the god Golish. Remlick (female) and Rastar (female) are hired mercenaries who protect Erasmus’s family. Miara (female) is humanoid and cat-like, doesn’t talk much to people, but stays near Melanar (female), an old herbalist, quiet, good-natured, who calls everyone “sonny.” She doesn’t like Buford.

 

September 15: The signature spell I was given hints at a lot of new ways I’ve never known before. I can use this to analyze the nature of any spell thrown and if it was thrown under duress, etc. I scry to other rooms. Softshoe is playing cards with the mercenaries. Mirin takes over my body and kills Remlick, so then I have to be tied up because Jim was going to go thieving, and Bigelow is too weak to fight me. I charm Bigelow to ensure that he will protect Ser.

 

September 16: Jim creeped up a level to check on a weird noise we hear every night. He couldn’t find a reason but overheard two sailors talking about ghosts. Jim snuck into the captain’s quarters and found that a ship has been following us, but she doesn’t know who they are. She had two daggers with red ruby hilts, very old and valuable, a beautiful sexton, personal papers, and clothing. She knows somebody on this ship whose help she asked in dealing with the other ship. She seemed to think he would take care of it quickly.

 

September 22: Rumors about Onwall. Ishtar, seeing the calamity in Keoland shed tears over the Azure Sea for those who were killed. Now the Azure Sea is impassable to evil. She married a shepherd king from across the sea. I dream Gandalf fell into a pit of deep water. Melanar, Miara, and Frisbee took out a whole bunch of demons (good). When we tried to find out what was in Bigelow’s bag from Zepplin using a spell, Bigelow attacked me. When he attacked, Jim just stood there, frozen, maybe possessed (time stop effect of Sightblinder). Jim then killed Bigelow. Melanar checked on Ser to determine her intentions, but then when she went off alone with Ser, Mirin took over and killed Miara and attacked Melanar. Jim opens the napkin he found in Bigelow’s stuff and discovered it’s actually a 15x15 pit. In it are the crown jewels of Keoland. Not good.

 

October 18: We arrive at Chathold under siege in time for the battle. Fortunately they win and go to the inner sanctum of Chathold’s church of Innana. There we find the original account of the history of disturbing Tiamat in the Enuma Elish (raising of Kingu to punish the humans for forgetting to serve). Now Vecna has been raised again because humans woke her up. The statue of Innana and Tamuz has the symbol of the yin-yang.

            For our victory, we are allowed to ask questions of Ishtar: How can I get my soul back from Romag? Romag holds my soul contract. I can see Mirin, but where her eyes are, I see the entire universe instead of ocular orbs. Ser is dead in a reflecting pool, but she begins to come awake and then travels via sorcery into Mirin’s body. Mirin’s soul gets pushed out into an opal stone of soul storing, but is still attached by a dark soul thread to Mirin’s body. Ser, who is now inhabiting Mirin’s body, throws the stone to Romag (who has no eyes). He is climbing it toward me with Mirin’s soul contract. Romag catches the stone, looks dejected and throws down both the contact and the soul. Ser in Mirin’s body walks over to the stone and the contract and picks them up. Jim stands behind Ser/Mirin with Sightblinder so we can tell which thread is Mirin’s soul and Ser’s. Ser must decide whether to cut Mirin out of herself altogether or to meld the two souls with the Sword of Love.

 

October 22: This is the night after Fenario’s wedding. We’re going after Mordred to get the Amulet of the Planes. We went to Orion’s house and I tried to cast a signature on my Butler Jeeves’s magic. We’re going to the Druid’s Keep through the mirror, but when we arrive it’s under siege. The keep houses the seven worlds of men (extradimensional spaces) which are jammed with thousands of refugees. From there we go to Lycea, where Orion and Mordred are. We get blessings, one use of 10% luck, healing while in the waters of Lycea, jurisdiction in this plane. The whales and birds and dolphins give this to us. Mordred is waging war in the heavens. He carries the amulet of the planes, the staff of wizardry, dex increase, portable alchemy lab, and Shieldbreaker. Mordred’s masters were Killbob (wizard) and Jesus Minupe. We lose the Sword of Vengeance.

 

October 23: Mordred returns and sends us to Pandemonium. We learn we must have the Mindsword in hand at Tovag Baragu if we are to keep the religion intact.

 

October 25: Zen, Theodin Rockbrother, dwarves, and Ishtar ride into Pandemonium to save us due to Taran’s Divine Intervention. We are taken back to Onwall and the Sword of Vengeance is returned to us.

 

October 31: Ser is saved.

 

October 32: The new moon doesn’t show, and Sin is stuck in hell.

My waking thought was what is going to happen to me and realize for the first time that there is someone inside my head who is trying to kill me. And now I think I’m Ser Ineluke but the body is wrong. For the early morning, I’m chaotic good, Sept.13.

            After removing the amulet, I felt weird. Now my dreams are often of being dragged down hallways where Romag and Senshak took me and a mystery, robed figure dragged me. I’m fighting. The robed figure was ME. Then I put myself on an altar and stabbed a dagger in my chest. But in later dreams, when I’d looked at my body on the altar , it’s a different face. Also, I’m having memories about things I never lived. Am I going nuts? I remember parts of spells I’ve learned. I remember conversations with Romag that I never had, just general bitching
