Nevrond Nevrend, City of Anshar, Barbarian conquest—10% of the food of the city is still sacrificed to Anshar in exchange for weapons trade with Babylon to aid in the war against the Narians (who use demons and require silver weapons)

Ruler: Barbarians

Religious Leader: Cardinal-Archbishop Vitor Su’Gregarin, the Guide of Nevrond Nevrond. He’s a very complex man, N or CN, into old wines, polite, has private concubines, served by Bishop An’swanami. Anshar once was the God of Night only, and his long-lived clerics emphasize that part of the worship. The long-lived clerics are vampires whom Anshar has promised salvation. Cleric level: 16, S 19, I 17, W 22, C 18, Chr 20. He has collections, private galleries or armor and weapons of the original armies of Nyrond. Relative of the Patron Saint Gregarin, he is 470 years old. He saw the party at dinner (8:00 pm), escorted in a large mansion, behind heavy doors, locked and barred. On the way, the party noticed barbaric totems, packs of herbs (garlic, fennel) and hairlocks (karma). He discussed issues with the party over wine. He worried because of the Woundhealer sword sight, and would not let the party leave. He used lots of spiritual incense as a smoke screen and wards against outer planar beings (symbol of banishment), many mask undead spells, appearing vibrantly healthy.

Captain Baran Einhold Blue Moon attends him.

Description The city is now conquered by barbarians and includes several broken and poorly repaired buildings. The church is untouched and stands at the center of the city with its huge spire. The church holds a room for astrally projecting from which the astral cords cannot be cut. It also features a huge library, particularly of literature.
